Equipment description and reference data
Large-diameter thin-wall welded tube is difficult because strip springback is high and the tube can lose roundness, shift at the weld bevel, bulge or wrinkle during forming, and develop skip welds, overlap welds or incomplete welds.
The Ø273×4.5 mm line supplied to an Indonesian customer completed its first trial successfully, with stable forming, compliant ovality and a high finished-product qualification rate.

Production Process Flow
Coil loading → uncoiling → strip straightening → pinch levelling → shear and butt welding → accumulator → forming → high-frequency pressure welding → internal and external weld-bead removal → weld-seam grinding → weld-seam inspection → water cooling → sizing → rough straightening → flying-saw cut-off → conveying → automatic packing → marking → inspection and collection → storage

Common buyer questions
Why is thin-wall large-diameter tube difficult to form?
The strip has greater springback and is more prone to ovality, local buckling, wrinkling and weld-seam displacement.
Is the Ø273 × 4.5 mm range fixed?
No. It is a representative delivered project; the new line is engineered for the buyer’s required range.
